WHAT IS 3A?
3A is the ballot number Arapahoe County has assigned to Rooted In Littletons Charter amendment that has been endorsed by over 2,000 Littleton residents. It amends the city’s charter by ensuring the city’s land use and zoning restrictions for single family residential neighborhoods that existed on January 1, 2025 remain in place to prevent city from forcing duplexes, triplexes and quadplexes into every neighborhood in Littleton.
Why a charter amendment vs an ordinance?
Ordinances can be changed by a majority vote of just four city council members. Changing a charter amendment requires a vote of the people of Littleton which results in real community input and real accountability. Shouldn’t our mayor and city council be held to these standards?
